Data & Calculation Methodology
What each figure means, where it comes from and where its limits are. All figures on this site are preliminary planning references — never an operational dispatch or a charter quotation.
Route distance
Great-circle distance is the shortest distance between two airports along the Earth’s surface, computed from airport coordinates. En-route distance adds an airway factor to allow for route structure, detours and normal ATC routings. It is not a filed flight plan.
Flight time
Estimated airborne time is derived from en-route distance and the aircraft’s cruise performance, with a planning window for wind and routing variation. It is a planning estimate, not actual ATC block time, and excludes holds, slots and runway performance effects.
Maximum range
Published maximum range comes from manufacturer public data or maintained reference databases. Real missions rarely achieve book range, so the platform also shows a conservative platform planning range.
Conservative range used
Rather than treating the published maximum as usable capability, the platform applies a conservative planning model (the “platform conservative planning model”) to estimate how much of an aircraft’s platform planning range a route consumes. Results are an initial screening only; weather, winds, payload, runway, reserve fuel and operating requirements remain with the operating carrier.
Fuel cost
Fuel burn is estimated from aircraft planning parameters and route distance. The reference jet-fuel price is a platform reference rate (source and effective date shown), not an actual fueling quote. Customers who know their own fuel price may enter it.
Airport ground fees
Airport ground handling, landing and parking fees vary considerably by airport, aircraft, handler and services requested, and tariffs change over time. Public planning pages show no amounts and do not auto-estimate them; after you create a private trip they are verified manually against actual airport and handler quotations.
Airport operating information
Airport operating hours, curfew/noise restrictions, customs/immigration (CIQ) hours and handling requirements come from official AIP/airport sources verified in the platform database and from accumulated operator work references. Each entry is tagged as either officially verified or a work reference. Only explicit daily curfew windows are used for automatic time-conflict screening; weekday, registration-based or other conditional restrictions are shown as text and require operator verification. Hours can change via NOTAM, maintenance or local rules — they are planning references, not operational approval.
NOTAM (temporary notices)
NOTAMs are short-lived temporary notices (runway works, closures, event restrictions), not fixed operating hours. The result page links each airport to the official FAA NOTAM Search for the latest notices. For private trips, the team manually verifies current NOTAMs and posts a dated summary on the private page. NOTAMs can change at any time and never replace the operating carrier’s pre-flight briefing.
What is not included
Public cost references cover fuel only and exclude airport ground handling, positioning/ferry, crew, permits and overflight, parking, catering, special handling, taxes and broker/operator margin. They are not charter prices.
Who confirms the final result
Aircraft availability, final pricing and flight feasibility are always confirmed by the independent licensed air carrier or charter broker operating the flight.
